Ingredients and Substitutes

This recipe really uses simple ingredients that you will probably have in your home.

Firm tofu We only get 2 tyoes of tofu where I live, regualr tofu and the soft type for cheesecake. This recipe uses the firm type that you can fry
Broccoli florets This can be substituted with any veg of choice. Fresh or frozen
Soy sauce adds a wonderful flavour to this dish, but if you need a substitute, add chili sauce
Sesame oil or any oil that you have in your kitchen
Garlic or extra herbs
Ginger adds a beautiful flavour and complex notes to this meal, you can substitute with your fave sauce
Cornstarch makes the sauce thick but can be substitutedwith tapioca or potato starch
Vegetable oil for frying can be any veg oil from sunflower to coconut or olive oil
Optional toppings: sesame seeds, green onions or add some chillis! Go with what you enjoy.
