Vegan KFC Fried “Chicken”

Ingredients
For the "Chicken":
- 1 block of extra firm tofu pressed
- 1 cup non-dairy milk soy or almond
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar to make vegan buttermilk
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried sage
Instructions
- Cut tofu into nugget-sized pieces. In a bowl, mix non-dairy milk and vinegar to make vegan buttermilk.
- In another bowl, mix flour with all the spices.
- Dip tofu pieces in buttermilk, then coat them in the flour mixture.
- Fry the tofu in oil until crispy and golden. Drain on paper towels.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauces for the full KFC experience!
