Who doesn’t like a bit of crunch! I really love creating new recipes, and this one came to me when I was going though a gluten free phase of my life. I decided to eat less flour and so began looking for replacements. Chickpea flour seemed the obvious choice here, as it’s tasty and cheap! I enjoy them with a green salad. Especially that one to the right 🙂
These crisp bites are so good with a little sweet chili sauce or mayo. Ideal served as a side dish or add to your child’s lunch box (if they don’t like chilis, omit).
Serving Ideas
Spicy Pea Fritters are versatile and can be enjoyed in various ways:
As a Sandwich Filling: Spread vegan mayo on whole-grain bread, add lettuce, tomato slices, and a Spicy Pea Fritter for a hearty sandwich.
With a Fresh Salad: Serve them atop a bed of mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, and drizzle with a tangy vinaigrette.
As an Appetizer: Make mini fritters for a delightful party snack. Pair with a zesty dip for extra flair.
